Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring the quality of the portfolio and mitigating identified risks.
- Support the independent oversight of credit risks, ensuring they are identified, evaluated, monitored, and reported within the established credit risk management framework.
- Assist in recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Regularly monitor the existing credit portfolio.
- Help assign credit risk ratings that reflect the credit quality of the portfolio and lessees' willingness to pay lease rentals.
- Assist in formulating, implementing, and maintaining effective functions to enable the company to operate in a safe and sound manner.
- Support in recommending credit risk, risk pricing consistent with the level of risk undertaken, and capital allocations.
- Help assess the quality and completeness of data and information needed for new credit appraisals.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and quantifying key transaction risks.
- Help outline key risk profiles and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with portfolio management objectives regarding exposure limits, diversification, and concentration.
- Assist in establishing and regularly updating a system for lessee credit rating assessments.
- Support the regular assessment of the fair value of leased assets.
- Monitor sector and equipment risk thresholds and inform management of necessary market-related changes.
- Ensure that weekly/monthly Risk Committee reports are completed and reported to EXCO and Board Committees.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects or tasks related to Risk Monitoring, Testing, and Compliance as requested.
Qualifications and Experience
- GCE O’ Level/GCE A’ Level, National Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a related field
- Relevant professional qualifications in related field.
- Over 5 years of experience may substitute for a formal qualification.
