Job description
- Supervise and coordinate all daily maintenance activities.
- Carry out and supervise general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Handle basic carpentry work, including furniture repairs, doors, shelves, partitions, and general woodwork.
- Handle plumbing repairs, including water pipes, taps, toilets, drainage, pumps, and water supply systems.
- Perform basic electrical maintenance, including lighting, switches, sockets, breakers, wiring, and electrical equipment.
- Carry out basic refrigeration and cold-room maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Monitor refrigerators, freezers, chillers, cold storage areas, and other refrigeration equipment.
- Identify equipment faults and arrange repairs or external technical support when required.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, shops, warehouses, and facilities.
- Respond quickly to emergency maintenance and breakdowns.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and ensure servicing is completed on time.
- Supervise maintenance workers and assign daily tasks.
- Monitor maintenance materials, tools, spare parts, and equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and breakdown logs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and external technicians for specialized repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and according to company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas.
- Report major faults, repair requirements, and maintenance expenses to management.
- Assist in planning maintenance budgets and material requirements.
- Perform other maintenance and facility-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Maldivian candidates only.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and refrigeration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and carry out basic repairs independently.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and respond to urgent breakdowns.
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible hours when required.
