Job Description
- Report to work on time according to the schedule given, properly groomed and hygienic, in proper uniform with name badge.
- Attend daily morning briefing at the Housekeeping Office and conduct daily briefing for Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants.
- Prepare and monitor daily staff schedules to ensure sufficient coverage for operational requirements.
- Monitor daily arrivals and departures to ensure villas are prepared, inspected and released on time.
- Assign showrooms, inspection rooms and daily tasks to Room Attendants.
- Supervise Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
- Inspect all cleaned villas and public areas to ensure high standards of order, cleanliness and that everything is in working order (EIWO).
- Release inspected villas on time and update room status accordingly.
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, curtains and equipment requiring repair or replacement are reported and followed up with Maintenance.
- Monitor and control housekeeping keys in accordance with key control procedures.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies, guest supplies and operating equipment; ensure requisitions are submitted when required.
- Control usage of cleaning materials and guest supplies to minimize waste and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Conduct regular inventories of linen, supplies and operating equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained, stored correctly and defects are recorded and reported.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and training, and report performance matters to the Executive Housekeeping Manager.
- Train new employees and conduct regular refresher training to maintain service standards.
- Maintain effective communication with Front Office, Maintenance, and Food & Beverage departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure Lost & Found procedures are strictly followed, and all items are properly labeled, recorded and stored.
- Handle guest requests, complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally, reporting serious matters immediately to the Executive Housekeeping Manager.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in all areas.
- Assist guests during emergency evacuation and medical situations as required.
- Report immediately any health and safety hazards, unusual incidents, damages or losses to Housekeeping Office.
- Maintain discipline, high morale and positive team spirit among staff.
- Attend all departmental meetings, briefings and training sessions when instructed.
- Be flexible in working hours, including weekends and public holidays, and be available on call to meet operational needs.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager and resort management.
