Responsibilities
- To command any LCT/TUG independently as per the guidelines given by Operations
- Conduct of the vessel & Management of personnel
- Ensuring of the safety and security of crew, vessel and cargo at all times.
- Observance of applicable rules and regulations of TAM
- Maintenance of discipline on board including the observance of the Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Regular performance of drills and training
- Optimizing the quality of services
- Emergency management
- Communication. Well conversant with international radio telephony, its procedures and distress signals in an emergency.
- Requisition of provision, spares, stores
- Ensuring the safe working practice on board
- To Ensure the maintenance of the vessel's technical condition, keep ready at all times.
- To provide towage assistance for vessels when required in an emergency
- Maintain records and reports as required LOD-MTCC and National Laws.
- To fully comprehend the importance of TUG/LCT, maintenance, reporting and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with Technical teams and dry dock to carry out repairs and maintenance.
- Report any accidents/incidents to the TUG/LCT reasoning with a written report.
- Report any defects or breakdown of any navigational aids, deck equipment or engine machinery upon taking over and whenever it occurs
- Contacts to agents for loading and unloading of goods, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- The necessary licenses for operating a Work boat as specified by the Ministry of Transport & Civil Aviation (Category C,D or E, F)
