Responsibilities

To command any LCT/TUG independently as per the guidelines given by Operations
Conduct of the vessel & Management of personnel
Ensuring of the safety and security of crew, vessel and cargo at all times.
Observance of applicable rules and regulations of TAM
Maintenance of discipline on board including the observance of the Drug and Alcohol Policy
Regular performance of drills and training
Optimizing the quality of services
Emergency management
Communication. Well conversant with international radio telephony, its procedures and distress signals in an emergency.
Requisition of provision, spares, stores
Ensuring the safe working practice on board
To Ensure the maintenance of the vessel's technical condition, keep ready at all times.
To provide towage assistance for vessels when required in an emergency
Maintain records and reports as required LOD-MTCC and National Laws.
To fully comprehend the importance of TUG/LCT, maintenance, reporting and responsibilities.
Coordinate with Technical teams and dry dock to carry out repairs and maintenance.
Report any accidents/incidents to the TUG/LCT reasoning with a written report.
Report any defects or breakdown of any navigational aids, deck equipment or engine machinery upon taking over and whenever it occurs
Contacts to agents for loading and unloading of goods, etc.

Minimum Requirements

The necessary licenses for operating a Work boat as specified by the Ministry of Transport & Civil Aviation (Category C,D or E, F)
