Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure all equipment are operating correctly, reporting any issues to the Engineering Team.
- Regularly check channel and service reception quality and report any disruptions.
- Verify that encryption is correctly applied across all services.
- Monitor and record picture and audio quality, reporting any shortcomings to the Senior Program Controller.
- Exercise sound judgement when managing commercial breaks, particularly during live sports and major broadcasts, ensuring advertisements do not interrupt key moments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of company censorship guidelines and identify programmes and content that require censorship.
- Ensure programmes and content are censored in accordance with company policies and broadcasting regulations, and seek guidance from supervisors when clarification is required regarding censorship decisions.
- Provide information on upcoming highlight programmes to the Marketing Department if required.
- Monitor the health and performance of core network systems.
- Monitor the reception and performance of satellite uplinks and downlinks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- O' Level qualification with sound IT knowledge.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar technical or broadcast operations role preferred.
- Strong communication skills with a professional attitude and presentation.
- Demonstrates initiative, reliability, determination, and a proactive approach to achieving taska and goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, and Internet applications.
- Ability to work shift duties, including night hours.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
