General Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sharia and Law from an accredited institution
- Should hold a valid legal practitioner license
- Minimum 2 years of experience within a legal practice
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory law with demonstrated capacity for professional legal work in a business environment
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate and employment law and procedures
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and Dhivehi
Job Specification
- Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc...
- Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and legal material ensuring compliance with all statutory or legal requirements relevant to the hospital’s business processes
- Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance
- Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
- Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities on legal matters on behalf of the Company
- Support the Executive Office with administrative duties when required
