Key Responsibilities
1. Structural Design & Analysis
1. Structural Design & Analysis
- Perform detailed structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures using industry-standard software such as ETABS and STAAD.Pro.
- Design structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, foundations, and lateral load-resisting systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international design codes and local authority regulations.
- Review and validate structural calculations, load assumptions, and design outputs.
- Optimize structural systems to achieve safety, serviceability, and cost efficiency.
2. Drafting & Detailing
- Prepare comprehensive structural drawings, including GA drawings, reinforcement detailing, and bar bending schedules if required.
- Develop shop drawings and construction details for site execution.
- Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP layouts to ensure design integration.
- Produce final submission drawings for authority approvals and client documentation.
3. Site Support & Technical Coordination
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify construction works against approved structural drawings.
- Provide on-site technical support and resolve structural issues during execution.
- Review discrepancies between design and actual site conditions and implement necessary revisions.
- Issue site instructions and clarifications to contractors to ensure correct implementation.
4. MEP Coordination (Schematic Level)
- Prepare, Review and coordinate schematic MEP layouts with structural and architectural designs.
- Identify and resolve clashes between structural and MEP elements at early design stages.
- Ensure proper integration of services without compromising structural integrity.
5. PMC & Consultancy Services
- Manage and monitor projects under PMC scope, covering both structural and finishing works.
- Conduct periodic inspections to track project progress, quality, and compliance.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, inspection reports, and non-compliance reports (NCRs).
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in project scheduling, planning, and overall coordination.
6. Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Monitor material approvals, workmanship quality, and construction methodologies.
- Identify non-compliances and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in inspections, snagging, and final handover processes & preparing the documents.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, analysis, and design codes
- Proficiency in ETABS, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and related engineering tools (or related software)
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing practices
- Experience in BOQ preparation and cost estimation
- Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structure, MEP)
- Strong problem-solving skills with practical site decision-making ability
- Effective communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience : minimum 3 years
