Job Description
- Demonstrates a high degree of Velaa’s culture and service standards and reflects the values of Velaa Private Island.
- Assists the chef de cuisine in leading & managing all culinary activities relating to the cuisine, ensuring compliance with Velaa’s standards in quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
- Ensures the team under his/her supervision is trained to the required standards and is aware of the specifications for the dishes.
- Continuously works on maintaining the consistency of dishes and takes initiative to improve the quality and range of choices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of international experience at 5-star luxury hotels/resorts with a focus on European & international cuisine.
- Creative and capable of developing exciting menu offerings.
- A bachelor's/diploma, or relevant experience in the related field, is a must.
- Must have excellent knowledge of HACCP and other food safety standards.
- Good command of written & spoken English.
- Experienced in working with multicultural teams and able to work under pressure.
- Flexible to work around high-end guest demands with an eye for detail.
