Specific Duties
- Providing guidance and support to the Department, uplifting the overall standard of the current agreements/contracts or legal work.
- Should act as a role model to build and create a culture of interactive and consultative team approach amongst the legal team, ensuring quality of legal work mitigating risks to the company.
- Taking a proactive approach to improve the issues arising in other operational departments in their transactions to ensure risk mitigation.
- Drafting and vetting contracts.
- Standardizing legal contracts.
- Draft, monitor the negotiation of agreements with contractors, suppliers and other entities.
- Advise MTCC on complex commercial contracts, reviewing model contracts and agreements.
- Development of corporate policies in key areas, including review and improvement of existing policies and procedures and implementation.
- Contribute to an efficient, transparent, and fair internal grievance and justice system.
- Perform legal research and analysis and prepare legal opinions, reports and correspondence on relevant matters.
- Represent the MTCC in the courts of law including the employment tribunal.
- Advice the company on issues under company’s act, corporate governance and other laws and regulation that the company needs to enact upon.
- Keep fully informed on all legislation affecting the organization's operations and of all new developments in corporate legal matters and keeps all levels of management informed of applicable new laws and of the progress and results of court cases.
- Create awareness to all levels of management on policies and applicable laws and regulations. All other activities that is related to legal services. ·
- Perform attestation of company documents including attestation of document requests by other divisions
- Perform other duties required or assigned, which help to improve the productivity and service of the Division.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree in law.
- Must have License to practice law.
- Must have minimum 04 Years of Legal Experience or in a related field
