Candidate profile
- Minimum 2 years as Director of Rooms or 3+ years as Rooms Division Manager in a large luxury resort.
- Proven experience in a 4-star or 5-star resort with 200+ rooms, remote island or Maldives experience highly preferred.
- Strong leadership capability managing large, multicultural teams.
- Excellent knowledge of Front Office & Housekeeping operations, guest lifecycle management, and service recovery.
- High proficiency in Opera PMS and resort operational systems
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost control, and occupancy optimization
- Excellent command of English; German or additional languages are an advantage
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field (professional certification required for Work Permit)
Job Description
- Oversee all Rooms Division operations, ensuring seamless coordination between Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services
- Lead the complete guest journey from pre-arrival planning to departure follow-up, ensuring consistent five-star service delivery
- Drive guest satisfaction through personalized service, proactive engagement, and effective service recovery
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing levels, and operational costs while maintaining premium service standards
- Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, F&B, Spa, and Recreation teams to enhance guest experiences and support upselling initiatives
- Champion quality assurance standards, guest feedback analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop high-performing teams, building future leaders within the Rooms Division
- Maintain strong compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and brand standards across all guest areas
