We are seeking a local individual candidate who is interested in project management and willing to work as a Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project objectives, scope, and specific requirements.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Lead and supervise project activities to ensure alignment with project goals, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Manage project teams and provide support to team members
- Ensuring efficient project execution and that project deliverables are met.
- Develop and manage project work schedules
- Monitor project progress, identify and proactively mitigate risks, and implement necessary changes Ensure adherence to quality control processes and industry best practices.
- Contract and claims management
- Ensure completion of projects in a timely manner.
- Review and approve project-related invoices and financial reports.
- Maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain and ensure maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, reports, change orders, and meeting minutes etc.
- Travelling to building sites, proposed locations, and client meetings.
- Oversee project closure activities, including post-project evaluations and reporting
- Working closely with a team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors, architects, and other professionals.
- Any other relevant work as directed by the Company.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completed Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification in related field
- 5 years’ experience in relevant field
- Alternative qualifications may be considered on an individual basis
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent will be considered an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of contract administration, claims/variation management, FIDIC contracts
- Good communication skills – written and verbal (English and Dhivehi)
- Fluent in MS Excel, Word and AutoCAD
- Experience on ArchiCAD and Revit will be favorably considered
- Excellent time management skills and attention to punctuality
- Strong team player
- High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
Remuneration
Salary: MVR 25,000. May be negotiated based on individual qualifications.
Insurance: As per company policy.
