We are seeking a local individual candidate who is interested in project management and willing to work as a Senior Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead projects team and oversee multiple projects to ensure they meet client deliverables
- Monitor key performance metrics of project team to ensure ongoing adherence to quality standards
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, ensuring efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify and proactively mitigate risks, and implement necessary changes.
- Maintain and ensure maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, reports, change orders, and meeting minutes etc.
- Travelling to building sites, proposed locations, and client meetings as required.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, construction managers, and quantity surveyors. Managers, quantity surveyors, architects, and other professionals as required
- Carry out and ensure clear and effective communication among project stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand project objectives, scope, and specific requirements.
- Lead and supervise project activities to ensure alignment with project goals, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Develop project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes and industry best practices.
- Perform contract administration, claims’ evaluation, and manage contract amendments and variations.
- Review and approve project-related invoices and financial reports.
- Manage project closure activities, including final reporting and client handover.
- Any other relevant work as directed by Managers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or civil engineering (or equivalent qualification in a related field).
- 8-10 years of professional experience in project management within the construction/built environment sector.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal (English). Candidates with less experience may be considered on an individual basis.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent will be considered an added advantage.
- A master’s degree in project management or related field will be considered an added advantage.
- Fluent in MS Excel, Word
- Familiar with technical software such as AutoCAD, MS project, Revit etc.
- Good knowledge of contract administration, claims/variation management, FIDIC contracts
- Excellent time management skills and attention to punctuality
- High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
Remuneration
Salary: MVR 29,000. Salary may be negotiated on an individual basis.
Insurance: As per company Policy.
