We are looking for a passionate and energetic Individual to join our team.!
Responsibilities

  • Initiate, draft, review, and pursue legal contracts, agreements, subcontracts, and related documentation as required, ensuring that all legal obligations under such instruments are monitored and complied with.
  • Ensure that all licenses, permits, and regulatory approvals for the properties remain valid and in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, and carry out routine inspections to verify ongoing compliance.
  • Facilitate inspections by government authorities, coordinate with resort management teams during such inspections, and ensure timely rectification of any observations or compliance findings.
  • Prepare, issue, and review legal letters, notices, and formal correspondences as required, ensuring that the company’s legal position is protected at all times.
  • Represent the Company in tribunals and courts of the Maldives, including preparing submissions, coordinating with counsel where necessary, and ensuring proper conduct of all legal proceedings involving the Company.
  • Ensure that all development projects are undertaken in accordance with relevant government rules, regulations, approvals, and environmental requirements, and monitor project progress and report to governmental agencies as required.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards across all business units.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by Management in line with the Company’s legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or Shari’ah & Law.
  • Licensed to Practice Law in the Maldives will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative or legal position.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance requirements applicable to the Maldivian hospitality sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and remain available to address urgent matters as required
