Candidate profile
- Hardworking with a positive attitude and pleasant personality.
- Minimum two (02) years of experience in a similar position in a five-star resort.
- Ability to communicate fluently in both Verbal and Written English. (European language preferred)
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
- Must have experience in Western cuisine.
Job Description
- Ensuring day-to-day productivity of all kitchen employees and the full completion of rostered shifts.
- Planning, implementing, monitoring, and improving safe and hygienic operations for Resort guests and employees at all times.
- Responsible for maintaining all kitchen equipment in his/her area in good working condition.
- Identifying training needs and direct responsibility for the development and training of the kitchen brigade, and attending training programs for own professional development as requested.
- Maintaining an up-to-date standard recipe file for all food items by preparing menus, recipe cards, and preparation charts.
- Assisting with the ordering, receiving, and checking of food items, ensuring that requested quality and quantity are ordered
- Planning and creating innovative menus utilizing fresh tropical produce to provide guests with an unsurpassable dining experience.
- Maintaining excellent grooming and hygiene ensures all grooming standards are met concerning personal grooming and uniform presentation.
