Key Responsibilities
- Oversee HR operations in the absence of the HR Manager/Director.
- Manage work permits, visa processes, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Coordinate recruitment activities: job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate submission of reports and employee data.
- Handle disciplinary processes, ensuring fair procedures for all parties.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in organizing staff welfare programs, employee activities, and HR communications.
- Conduct exit interviews and manage termination procedures for local staff.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and resort policies, handling employee concerns with discretion.
- Prepare internal and external HR reports (MIS, Nationality Ratio, Pending Leave Reports, etc.).
- Liaise with government offices, hospitals, and other institutions as needed.
- Lead daily administrative functions and supervise HR documentation workflows.
- Collaborate closely with the Training & Development Manager on engagement activities and internal
communication.
Requirements
- 4-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role in hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of Maldivian labor laws, visa/work permit processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Divehi and English is a must.
- Skilled in MS Office and HR systems.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving ability.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and maintain high standards of grooming and professionalism.
