Candidate profile

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in similar supervisory role of a fine dining restaurant
  • Maldivian resort experience would be an added advantage
  • Highly motivated with leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, additional language will be an advantage
  • Team player and flexible for the operation
  • Capable of living in a small multicultural environment

Job Description

  • Motivate and drive our talent to achieve the highest standard of service, and food and beverage to our guests.
  • Continually be aware of departmental needs as they relate to production and staffing.
  • Forecast workloads and checks work schedules prepared by subordinate managers for all restaurant, lounge, room service and pool employees.
  • Development of job descriptions and reviewing them periodically to ensure their continuing understanding and acceptance.
  • Oversee and conduct continual training of all new and current food and beverage service employees in all outlets
  • Control standards, performance, employees' conduct, dress code, appearance, sanitation, etc., according to established policies.
  • Formulate and recommend changes to improve employees' performance and teamwork.
  • Review outlet performance on a quarterly basis.
  • Keep employees informed about hotel policies and changes.
  • Manages and controls overall expenses of the outlets focusing on higher revenue and profit.
  • On a shift by shift basis convene with Outlet Supervisors their employees to ensure total knowledge as to all menu items, how they are prepared, what ingredients are used, etc. and total knowledge of wine list.
  • Work in co-operation with the Chef and Sous-Chefs to ensure top quality and fair prices, and to see that below standard items are never accepted or served.
  • Manage wine stock properly as well as wine list elaboration and maintenance.
  • All facets of Human Resources - Interviewing, evaluating, discipline, termination.
  • Develop new and analyze existing procedures and special promotions that will improve guest patronage under the guidelines of the Baros Maldives’ policies 
  • To undertake any other reasonable task/request by Management
