Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Directly engage as a key person in preparing all the accounts and finance related documents.
- Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results.
- Maintain proper Accounts receivable and application of payments from customers.
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.
- Regular and periodic reconciliation of interdepartmental sales.
- Provide technical support and advice on Management Accounts.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Liaising and coordinating between departments and units for managing receivables.
- Identify and implement ways of improvement related to record keeping, process and reporting.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Provide required assistance for developing yearly business plans and quarterly financial reviews.
- Preparing and reviewing quotations and estimates by coordinating with unit heads.
- Prepare costing sheets for services
- Correspondence with suppliers and customers and other departments in relation to the servicing.
- Liaise with related sections and units for customer servicing.
- Safe keeping and disbursing petty cash as per the company’s petty cash policy. This includes maintaining all the petty cash reimbursement vouchers and transactions for reconciling and replenishing the fund.
- Preparing and maintaining daily cash collection sheets. This includes safe keeping of cash and bank drafts collected from the customers until being handover to Finance Department.
- Prepare financial statements and produce division budget according to schedule.
- Liaise with our Chief Finance Officer and Operations Manager to improve financial procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field with minimum 2 years experience in a similar role OR
- Diploma/ Associate Degree in Accounting or related field with minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
Salary Benefits
- Salary with other allowances: MVR 13,000
- Education Allowance: Diploma, MVR 1500, Degree MVR 2500
