Key responsibilities and Accountabilities

Provide psychosocial support to individuals, families, and groups to help address issues impacting their mental health and well-being.
Contributing to the planning, implementing of the counselling (telephone and face to face) services.
Assist in the planning and delivery of awareness-raising sessions on mental health and related topics.
Coordinating with relevant SHE departments to ensure integrated service delivery
Supporting and providing input into IEC resource development
Attending radio, television and other public relations presentations on request
Maintaining the credibility of the counselling program
Follow good standards of practice and care, which requires professional competence; good relationships with clients and colleagues; and commitment to and observance of professional ethics.
Engage in community-based mental health activities such as health festivals, screening trips, and multi-purpose health outreach events in the islands
Holding self-accountable for making decisions, managing resources efficiently, and role modelling SHE’s values
