Job Description
- Lead by example in actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering personalized product recommendations and styling advice.
- Support the retail team to perform at their best by driving customer engagement, promoting featured products, and executing in-store promotions or special events.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring seamless transactions, efficient customer service, and a well-maintained shopping environment.
- Train and mentor retail associates, providing guidance on product knowledge, sales techniques, and company policies to enhance team performance.
- Manage and oversee the fulfillment of online orders, coordinating with couriers for timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock counts.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints across email, phone, and social media, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
- Maintain and enhance visual merchandising standards to optimize product presentation and store ambiance.
- Manage retail scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of retail staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Ensure team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity and engagement.
- Handle conflict resolution and foster a positive work environment among the retail team.
- Coordinate team meetings and ensure clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Retail Manager to support daily operations and business needs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in any field.
- 2+ years of experience in a management position.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent written English and conversational English/Dhivehi to cater to international and local customers.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to uphold store standards.
- Passion for Oevaali Art Shop's products and lifestyle, with the ability to translate this enthusiasm into exceptional customer service.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays, as needed.
