We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities, excellent research and communication skills, and experience supporting legal professionals in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include case preparation, drafting legal documents, and conducting research. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
Requirements:
- Conducting thorough legal research using various resources such as databases, libraries, and online tools to gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and other legal materials.
- Drafting a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements, letters, and memoranda under the supervision of attorneys.
- Organizing and managing case files, including indexing documents, maintaining electronic databases, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is filed accurately and timely.
- Assisting with client intake and interviews, gathering information, and maintaining communication between clients and attorneys.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and coordinating logistics.
- Managing correspondence, including drafting letters, emails, and other communications, as well as fielding incoming calls and inquiries.
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, and court appearances for attorneys, as well as managing calendars and deadlines.
- Providing administrative support to attorneys, such as preparing expense reports, maintaining billing records, and managing office supplies.
- Reviewing and summarizing legal documents and case files for attorneys, highlighting key issues, facts, and deadlines.
- Assisting with legal document production, including formatting, proofreading, and cite-checking to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Collaborating with other legal professionals, such as court personnel, opposing counsel, and experts, as necessary to facilitate case progression.
- Staying updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal procedures through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
