Graphic Designer position available at Velaa Private Island Maldives
General Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing highly creative and impactful visual concepts for the sales and marketing department to promote the island internally and globally, as well as verify a consistent brand look across all projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for all branded artworks, including but not limited to brochures,
- posters, in-house collateral, event branding, product development and digital brand activities
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs
- Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic in line with CID
- Writing and proofreading creative copy for artworks, brochures etc.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Skill Requirements:
- Minimum three years of proven graphic design work/advertising experience within luxury products/services. Experience within luxury hospitality is a plus but not a necessity.
- Bachelors Degree in graphic design, fine arts or related field.
- Must possess an excellent portfolio of illustrations and other graphics.
- Expert knowledge in design software and technology (such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
- Creative mindset and ability to initiate visual concepts based on the company needs.
- Comfortable to work with everything from collaterals to visual samples of merchandise.
- Excellent communication skills (Oral & written). Copywriting skills would be an added plus.
- Must be hands-on with excellent attention to detail & organized.
- Excellent understanding of typography.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask.
- Team player with a positive “can-do” attitude.
