Purchase Officer
Requirements
- O Level / Diploma in Business Administration / Procurement / Logistics or relevant field
- Proven record in procurement department for 3-5 years is an added advantage
- Proficiency working with advanced Excel functions and other Accounting packages
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fluent in English and Dhivehi is mandatory
- Ability to analyse data and solve problems with high level of integrity
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Identify requirements for goods, materials and services
- Obtain various quotations to find for potential vendors
- Monitor stock levels and detect purchasing needs
- Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate prices. Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Prepare Purchase Orders, follow up for approvals and process without any delay
- Ordering and Inventory Control; Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor accounting status using management tools
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Recording and settling the invoices within a specific perimeter and a given timeframe, in accordance with standard accounting and tax practices
Salary: Negotiable based on Experience & Qualification
