Bank of Maldives is seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as the Head of Cash & Logistics Department.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans and targets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Offer expert cash advice and guidance to various business areas and customers, fostering trust and reliability.
- Uphold and refine relevant policies, procedures, and workflows, optimizing operational efficiency and compliance.
- Proactively manage departmental risks, particularly in fraud and counterfeit detection, to minimize operational losses.
- Coordinate robust business continuity arrangements, ensuring resilience in critical operational functions.
- Conduct ongoing threat assessments and risk monitoring, identifying gaps and executing remediation plans with agility.
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, nurturing a culture of performance excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage supplier relations and service agreements, optimizing partnerships for operational success.
- Oversee all aspects of logistics function, including transportation, customs clearance, stock management, and compliance.
- Ensure timely circulation of mandatory regulatory and compliance reports, adhering to established timelines.
- To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Excellent leadership skills in addition to organizational and time management skills
- Ability to critically and logically think, work independently and innovate and evolve in response to ongoing changing business/customer landscape and scope of BML activities
- Ability to adapt and work within Bank’s culture, handle pressure and meet deadlines, strong and mature team builder and player
- Experience operating in highly regulated organizations with complex operations, systems, policies and procedures.
- Strong experience of leading, motivating and managing teams.
- Criteria:
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
- 7+ years of experience working in a complex (preferably regulated) organization.
- Considerable people leadership/management experience, preferably with international exposure.
